🔥 Down in flames! 🔥 Ariel Vasquez grossly miscalculated how many NMB voters want divisive politics in their city.

As we first told you on April 12, 2026, a very shady PAC had begun sending out mailers to North Miami Beach voters asking them to sign a petition for “fair representation,” and falsely claiming that “four out of the six commissioners come from one section of North Miami Beach.”

That was just the first of many lies being peddled by the organizers of the Stronger NMB political committee, the frontman of which is also running for a seat on the North Miami Beach City Commission by the name of Ariel Vasquez, whose day job is “pastor” of 3rd Day Church.

This self-proclaimed “man of God” also lied by omission in his Class Envy mailers and Facebook videos when he conveniently neglected to mention that his deceptively named Proposed Charter Amendment for Single-Member City Commission Districts was purposely hiding a single sentence on page 2 at the end of Article IV., Sec. 4-2, Paragraph B, which states:

In essence, this alleged “citizen-initiated ballot measure” was nothing but a shameless power grab designed to extend the term limits of three of the current elected officials, two of whom are already illegally serving a third term.

If Ariel had succeeded to legally collect enough signatures to get his Proposed Charter Amendment on the November ballot and passed, Michael Joseph, McKenzie Fleurimond, and Daniela Jean, all of whom will be termed out in 2028, would have been entitled to run again for another two four-year terms, and potentially allowing them to keep their seats on the dais for another ten years!

As we told you in yet another previous blog, Commissioners already receive an undeserved “salary” of approximately $64,250 a year (including insurance and “expense” accounts) that they gifted to themselves on November 16, 2021.

If these three grifters had been successful in getting their wish, by the time they would be termed out — FOR THE SECOND TIME — in November of 2036, they would have been able to soak North Miami Beach taxpayers for a grand total of $1,927,500 ($642,500 each) in the next ten years.”

The good news is that Ariel’s PAC army did not collect the required number of signatures on their shady petition to land on the ballot on November 3, 2026.

On August 11, 2026, the City Clerk sent an email to the City Attorney, City Manager and elected officials advising them of the “description and count received from the Office of the Supervisor of Elections regarding the NMB Proposed Charter Amendment Petition.”

In order for this initiative to be placed on the November 3, 2026 ballot, Ariel’s PAC needed to collect 10% of all the registered voters in North Miami Beach.

According to the civic group, WakeUp NMB, there are approximately 22,000 to 23,000 registered voters in North Miami Beach, which means that Stronger NMB would have needed between 2,200 and 2,300 valid signatures.

According to the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, Ariel turned in only 1,892 signed petition, and of those only 978 — slightly more than half — were accepted as valid. Of the signatures rejected, 407 were collected before the petition was even filed with the Clerk, 255 of them had “bad signatures,” and 252 were rejected due to multiple other issues.

However, it’s important to note that even if Ariel had legally and properly collected all 1,892, he would still have fallen far short of the 10% he needed to place his shady Proposed Charter Amendment on the ballot.

It also didn’t help that Ariel’s Stronger NMB political committee sent out an army of petition collectors who flat out lied to North Miami Beach residents about the nature of the petition.

The really crazy part is that Ariel Vasquez spent all his time and energy pushing this petition, and zero time raising money for his campaign.

According to his Campaign Treasurer’s Reports, after filing to run for City Commissioner on March 31, 2026, he spent the next six reporting periods filing a Waiver of Report, which means he did not accept any contributions or spent any funds for his campaign.

It wasn’t until the last Campaign Treasurer’s Report, filed on August 13, 2026, that he reported two Contributions totaling $1,150.00, and one Expenditure to the City of North Miami Beach for his qualifying fee in the amount of $150.00.

Instead of raising money to finance his campaign for a seat on the North Miami Beach Commission, Ariel Vasquez literally “campaigned” on the back of the $92,919.51 donated to the Stronger NMB political committee by Big Development, car dealerships, city vendors, lobbyists, political operatives from North Miami seeking management positions in NMB, and of course, big bucks funneled from other shady PACs in an attempt to throw the public off the money trail.

We here at VotersOpinion picked up the scent, followed that trail all the way down the rabbit hole, and reported our findings in a series called, Stronger NMB Political Committee – Following the Money Trail, Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.

Lo and behold, we discovered that one of the largest contributors to Stronger NMB were members of a Coral Gables development group who had one common denominator … North Miami Beach City “Attorney” Joseph S. Geller.

And yet, he inexplicably still has a job.

But, we digress.

As an alleged “pastor,” Ariel Vasquez hypocritically spent the last four months of his life pushing this alleged “citizen-initiated ballot measure” under the false premise that the so-called “have-nots” were not getting equal representation.

Sadly, instead of preaching Love Thy Neighbor, this pastor’s message was Covet Thy Neighbor.

Class envy is never pretty.

In at least two of the 25 videos Ariel Vasquez posted on his Facebook page from April 13, 2026 through June 27, 2026, he proudly filmed himself holding handfuls of the petitions his team collected.

On April 17, 2026 he created a Facebook video starring … Ariel Vasquez.

It doesn’t get more cringe than this.

Meanwhile, Ariel’s political committee, Stronger NMB, spent its last dime over a month ago. It’s not only fresh out of funds, but it actually spent more than it raised and is in the hole for $23.08.

Not counting the automatically assessed $1,150.00 fine that Stronger NMB owes to the Florida Department of State’s Division of Corporations for the late filing of it’s June 10, 2026 Campaign Treasurer’s Report, which its Registered Agent, Christian R. Cámara, will have to come up with somehow. This would be on top of the potential overdraft fees the PAC’s bank will charge in fees for overdrawing the account by $23.08.

In a Fine Appeal Letter 07-08-26 to the Division of Corporations Mr. Cámara is appealing that fine, along with fines assessed to three of his other political committees, including Communities First Project PC, which we previously told you funneled $44,810.00 to the Stronger NMB political committee.

Bottom line, now that Ariel’s divisive Amendment drive went down in flames, and he can’t “campaign” with the PAC’s money anymore, he’s going to have to start seriously fundraising for the next two and a half months.

According to his most recent Campaign Treasurer’s Report, he only collected his first contribution on August 6, 2026 of $150.00 from his neighbor, David Black. The only other contribution Ariel received was on August 10, 2026 in the amount of $1,000.00 from Madalon Law, a personal injury firm in Fort Lauderdale.

Ariel Vasquez has a steep hill to climb, but from the looks of it, he’s not getting off to a great start.
