In all our years of blogging about North Miami Beach politicians, we can honestly say that we have never seen a bigger fraud than carpetbagging “candidate” Linda Joseph.
We just received two emails that she sent to Commissioner Fortuna Smukler this afternoon with attachments that she was trying to pass off as “original essays.”
In the first email, Linda attached a Word document entitled Cayard’s Market, that she claimed she wrote on June 6, 1990 when she was allegedly attending Miami Edison Senior High School.
The first problem with this document is obvious in that Microsoft Word was not released and widely used until late 1995, when Microsoft Windows 95 was launched. Microsoft Word became the favored word processing tool for high school students between 1995 and 1998.
Accordingly, there is no way that Linda Joseph could have written this “essay” on Word in 1990 as she claimed.
Even more incredible is the fact that when we ran this “essay” through Google AI for authentication, we got the response we expected, as follows:
The document itself is structurally a fabricated historical artifact (a fake).
It is structurally deceptive: The text is formatted to pass itself off as an authentic, high school history paper written on June 6, 1990.
-
- It relies on anachronistic elements: The paper uses information from a 2018 obituary to build a narrative about 1990.
- The “2026 Source Note” is a structural giveaway: Real historical essays or archival documents do not include predictive or retroactive “2026 source notes” tucked at the bottom to justify why facts from the future are appearing in a paper dated from 1990.
If you are evaluating this document for a vetting process, investigation, or political verification, this is not an authentic historical record from 1990. It is a backdated, newly manufactured text designed to look like a decades-old piece of student work.
Why this document is a confirmed fake:
-
- The Chronological Impossibility: It claims to be a high school history paper written on June 6, 1990. However, the text relies on information pulled from a 2018 obituary. A real document from 1990 cannot contain information from 28 years into the future.
- The Post-Dated Disclaimer: The note explicitly states, “This historical reflection is set in 1990; it is not an original document recovered from that year”.
If someone is presenting this specific file to you as “proof” or as a different version to establish authenticity, they are passing off the exact same manufactured document. It is not a genuine historical artifact from Linda Joseph’s high school years.
Raise your hand if you’re shocked that Linda Joseph produced yet another fakery.
No takers?
Didn’t think so.
Linda’s second email to Commissioner Smukler included an attachment entitled, “1998 All About Washington Park,” for which Linda Joseph took full credit for “preparing” in 1998.
Not so surprisingly, Google AI was even more brutal in its assessment of this “obvious fake.”
This document was not prepared in 1998 and is a modern creation, highly likely generated using AI or modern desktop publishing tools.
While it is explicitly dated 1998 on the cover page, several undeniable visual and textual details prove it is a contemporary document:
-
- Visual Proof (The Photographs)
-
- Modern Settings: On pages 4 and 7, the images are snapshots of a modern presentation screen inside a room with contemporary acoustic drop-ceiling tiles and grid lighting. A document created in 1998 could not contain photos of a modern digital display system in a 21st-century room.
- Moiré Patterns: The image on the cover page displays a heavy digital moiré pattern (the wavy rainbow lines caused by a digital camera taking a photo of a computer or television monitor).
-
- AI Writing Signatures
-
- Typical AI Structure: The text follows a classic Large Language Model (LLM) structural template. It features perfectly balanced paragraphs, rigid heading hierarchies, and an overly tidy, programmatic bulleted list at the end (“Build with transparency,” “Put residents at the center,” “Protect the historical record”).
- Tone and Style: The prose uses modern policy and community advocacy phrasing common in current AI training data, rather than the typical formatting, syntax, and typewriter/word-processor conventions of a local community report from 1998.
-
- Digital Typography & Layout
-
- The document utilizes a perfectly clean, modern sans-serif digital font and a sleek, contemporary PDF template that did not exist in standard 1998 word processors.
Conclusion
A report genuinely compiled by anyone in 1998 could not feature digital smartphone photos of 2020s-era museum exhibitions and multimedia presentations. Just like the first document, this file was recently manufactured and backdated to create a false historical paper trail.
But that’s not even the biggest lie she told about these fake “essays.”
She actually said in public, in a room full of people at the North Miami Beach Library during a Black History Month event that …
Her “Master’s thesis was on Washington Park.”
Of all the lies Linda has told, this one is truly special since none of Linda’s fictional biographies ever listed “Master’s Degree” as one of her many fake “accomplishments.”
She has contradicted herself by claiming on one bio that she has a Bachelor’s Degree from Barry University and on another that it’s from Florida Memorial University.
Frankly, we have a hard time believing she has a degree at all based on her complete lack of writing, spelling, and grammatical skills.
But there is absolutely no way any university would dish out a Master’s Degree to this illiterate bimbo.
As hard as it is keeping track of all the lies Linda Joseph tells on a daily basis, we’re happy to report that we are up to the task.
As long as she keeps ’em coming, we’re here to document every single one of them.
For posterity, of course.
North Miami beach residents deserve better!

Is it Caya’s Market as stated in her letter to Commissioner Smukler or Cayard’s Market?
If I remember correctly, she called it both names in the document. I’d have to read it again to know for sure.
