Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez about to make another contemptible appearance in North Miami Beach once again, thanks to the Devil on the Dais, Michael Joseph!

Shakespeare once famously wrote in Henry VI, Part 2, “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”

While we wouldn’t suggest doing that, there are more than a few loathsome lawyers that should have been disbarred already.

Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez and his longstanding client, North Miami Beach mayor Michael Joseph, are the first that come to mind.

As we told you in a previous blog, Michael Joseph should to be awarded a Resolution of Censure by a majority of his colleagues on the dais at tonight’s Commission Meeting, as follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, FORMALLY CENSURING MAYOR MICHAEL JOSEPH; MAKING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS PURSUANT TO THE CITY CHARTER; DIRECTING COMPLETION OF AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION; AND FORMALLY REFERRING CERTAIN MATTERS TO THE OFFICE OF THE MIAMIDADE STATE ATTORNEY, THE FLORIDA COMMISSION ON ETHICS, AND THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY COMMISSION ON ETHICS AND PUBLIC TRUST; PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

In response, Michael Joseph had his consigliere , Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez send a strongly worded letter “to formally oppose the formal censure on your upcoming agenda scheduled for March 26, 2026.”

The “illustrious” lawyer (and by illustrious, we mean abhorrent), wrote:  “At this early juncture, proceeding with a formal censure absent a complete and duly conducted investigation raises significant due process concerns. Florida courts have recognized that officials are entitled to due process protections. Proceeding on a censure vote at this stage risks violating Mayor Josephs’s right to due process.”

Gee, we don’t remember anyone giving a crap about the violation of a former commissioner’s “right to due process” when the Real Racists on the Dais, i.e., Michael Joseph, McKenzie Fleurimond, Daniela Jean, and Paule Villard, falsely accused her of “racism” with zero evidence whatsoever, and voted to formally censure her at the following meeting on February 15, 2022.

Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez, of the ignominious law firm of Heise Suarez Melville, closed his laughable letter by saying:

“Accordingly, I respectfully advise you to postpone any vote on the proposed formal censure until such time as a full and impartial investigation has been concluded and its findings properly reviewed.”

Oh, he “respectfully advised!”

While there is absolutely nothing respectful about Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez, we wish to respectfully advise the North Miami Beach City Commission that the words “cease and desist” do not appear anywhere in his silly little letter.

As such, the Commission is under no obligation to comply with the unicorn wishes of an unscrupulous lawyer.

We also wish to remind the world at large that Michael Joseph is being censored for (among other things) directing staff improperly, attempting to manipulate records, and engaging in conduct inconsistent with the office of “mayor.”

In other words, activity in violation of the City Charter as well as Michael’ usual and customary criminal actions.

In addition to the allegations in the proposed censure, we also wish to remind the world at large that Michael Joseph is also under investigation for his role in allegedly laundering foreign money as a contribution to the campaign of his good friend and co-conspirator, U.S. Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

While the lovely Sheila, who is currently under indictment for allegedly stealing $5 million of our tax dollars from FEMA to fund her campaign and more, and will be facing a “rare public ethics trial” today at 2:00 pm before the House Ethics Committee, Michael Joseph’s trials and tribulations have only just begun.

And we are so here for it!

  1. The only thing I am going to say about his letter – they censured Barbara because she said “you people” and someone thought it may be offensive, providing no evidence to support it. If that’s enough to censure Barbara then the evidence against Michael should be enough to give him a turn on old sparky

    1. You don’t say about Barbara. Not sure how anything she says is offensive. Direct maybe. That letter from his lawyers is not subtle and clearly looks like an attempt to interfere, which is exactly why the commission needs to step in and do its job. The Mayor is a sham, so it is no surprise he surrounds himself with people who operate the same way.

The investigation spoke for itself, and the employees who came forward told the truth. Thank you to them. A censure is not some extreme measure. It is simply a formal way for fellow colleages to show they do not support his behavior and that actions have consequences.

The attorneys are trying to turn this into something bigger than it is, but that is predictable. The real issue is whether the State Attorney’s Office or the Ethics Commission sees something that warrants further investigation. That is where this could actually become serious.

Credit to the sponsor of the censure. Get it passed and let Joseph face what he has so often handed out himself. If I remember correctly, he had no problem censuring Tony D. over nothing, so this is just a case of things coming back around.

  2. We definitely need to give MJ the same due process Commissioner Barbara Kramer got. In this case we have plenty of receipts; in her case they had “feelings”. At long last haven’t we had enough with these faux victims who were elected to represent the people, not their own fragile egos. How can we expect them to fight for us when they cry to the police and run away anytime they get uncomfortable questions.
