Actually, we have more questions than thoughts, and we’re hoping that Linda Joseph will finally open up by answering some of them.

In response to our blog, Hey, Linda Joseph! Are you finally going to disavow this Jew-hatred?, she sent a comment to us for approval.  Since her comment requires an even longer response than we care to post in the comment section, we decided to write it all down in a new blog so that the voters of North Miami Beach can hopefully learn more about this person who is asking for their vote.

Early this morning, Linda Joseph sent the following comment to VotersOpinion:

“Stephanie, I will answer you directly. My name is Linda Joseph, and I unequivocally denounce antisemitism. Hatred against Jewish people has no place in North Miami Beach or anywhere in this world. The same racism and hatred that have harmed my community and generations of my family are things I would never inflict upon another community. The Jewish community is a vital part of North Miami Beach, and every Jewish family in our city has the absolute right to live, worship, and raise their children in freedom, safety, peace, and love—just like every other community.

I agreed with Darializa Avila Chevalier when she defended the Haitian community. Agreeing with someone on one specific issue does not mean I endorse everything that person has ever said, nor does it mean I support every organization with which that person may be associated. I can appreciate someone standing up for the Haitian community while unequivocally rejecting any statement that promotes hatred against Jewish people. I do not support antisemitism, racism, or hatred in any form.

Your insults, derogatory names, and attempts to question where I belong do nothing to help our community, our people, or the healing our city desperately needs. This nasty rhetoric and constant effort to divide communities are things I will never participate in. Until we learn to live together with love, dignity, and mutual respect, none of us can truly move forward.

So please stop. Personal attacks and false accusations will not change the truth. I unequivocally denounce antisemitism. I stand for the safety and dignity of our Jewish community, just as I stand for every community in North Miami Beach. Hate has oppressed people for generations, and I will never support or excuse it against anyone”

Since she is writing her comment to me directly, I will respond to her directly in this column.

Dear Linda,

While I am happy that you claim to “denounce antisemitism,” and that you say you believe that “[t]he Jewish community is a vital part of North Miami Beach,” you simply could not let it end there.

I had already written several columns about Darializa Avila Chevalier, with whom you posted a photograph of yourself on Facebook, pointing out that she (along with other members of your Democratic Socialists of America Party) is a raging Jew-hater (see here, here, and here), we strongly take issue with your siding with this antisemite simply because she “defended the Haitian community.”

That would be the same thing as if I were to side with a repulsive pig like Jeffrey Epstein if he “defended the Jewish community.”

Even if vile, hateful scumbags like Darializa Avila Chevalier or Jeffrey Epstein “defend” their own communities, morality and character should override tribal or religious allegiance.

Your comment that you appreciate Chevalier for “standing up for the Haitian community” would be just as despicable if I were to say that I appreciate Epstein for “standing up for the Jewish community.”

I honestly don’t know if you are capable of seeing that this is not a gray area.

If you don’t condemn bad actors entirely, you stand with them.

Linda, you are upset at my “attempts to question” where you belong.  I don’t believe you understand that when politicians lie about even one thing, voters have a hard time trusting anything they say.

The very first words that North Miami Beach residents ever heard come out of your mouth when you spoke at the May 16, 2023 Commission Meeting were pure, unadulterated lies.  No, your name was not “Ada Charles,” and no, Ada Charles is not your sister, as you claimed.  I have a hard time understanding why you simply did not give your own name to the Clerk for her list of speakers.  Public comment is open to the general public, not just North Miami Beach residents.

Then you went on to falsely claim that you were a “proud resident of North Miami Beach” and that you “voted for Michael Joseph,” when neither of those comments were remotely true.

Linda, do you not understand that in this day and age of the internet, social media, public records, it’s painfully easy to prove whether or not someone is lying?

For example, as we’ve already proven with public records obtained from the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, that you did not change your Voter Registration from your home at 275 NW 157 Street, Miami, Florida 33169 to the home of Ada Charles at 2 East Drive, North Miami Beach, Florida 33162, until August 7, 2025.

Conveniently, that date was almost a year to the day in advance of the qualifying period to run for office in North Miami Beach, in order to fulfill the one-year “residency” requirement.

But, I digress.

Michael Joseph has not run for office since the date you registered to vote in NMB, so you couldn’t possibly have voted for him.

In fact, as we have already proven, despite your very public claim, you never voted for Michael Joseph in any election because you never voted in any North Miami Beach election at all.

Ever!

In fact, the 2024 TRIM Notice published by the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser shows you, Linda Joseph, as the owner of your home located at 275 NW 157 Street, and that there are two homestead exemptions on this property, which means that it is owner-occupied.  This proves unequivocally that you were not a “resident of North Miami Beach” in 2024, proud or otherwise.

There was absolutely no reason for you to make up those lies, and yet you did.  If you want people to believe you, they are going to have a very hard time doing that.

Needless to say, North Miami Beach residents are understandably wary of everything you have said after hearing you speak those blatant lies.

On another note, Linda, one of the questions that you refused to answer is why there are three places of birth listed for you on three separate documents.

As we already noted, your marriage license shows that you were born in the Bahamas, while in the bio you wrote for the Miami-Dade Democrats you claim that you were born in Haiti.  At the same time, the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections shows your birthplace as the USA.

Please note, Linda, no one cares WHERE you were born.  That’s not the issue!

The fact that you simply refuse to clear up the discrepancy and just TELL THE TRUTH is troublesome, to say the least.

Just answer the question and that will be the end of the mystery.

And lastly, your comment that I and others are trying to “divide communities” is absolutely not true.  If anyone is being divisive, it is most certainly you and your “co-candidate,” Ariel Vasquez.

Don’t forget that Ariel created that ridiculous petition to divide a small city like North Miami Beach into six even smaller parcels, which you wholeheartedly support.  Your claim that parts of the city are not being “represented,” while other parts are receiving preferential treatment is completely unfounded and divisive.

If, as you claim, North Miami Beach is in desperate need of “healing,” you certainly are not contributing to that healing by being just another politician who lies.

In the meantime, you need to stop being defensive when voters ask questions, and especially if they criticize your answers.  This is how politics works.

I lived in North Miami Beach for 25 years until I moved in 2014, and I know of plenty of elected officials who were constantly being criticized about how they voted on issues and especially how much money they wasted.  When they screwed up, my fellow activists and I pounced on them at meetings every chance we got!

In fact, we had one horrible mayor in 2010 (which is the reason I started this blog in the first place), who was white and Jewish, and corrupt AF!  When I criticized him, he called Code Enforcement on me just to harass me!

Luckily, thanks to public records and campaign treasurer’s reports, I discovered that he had committed grand theft 3rd during his re-election campaign.  As a result, he was eventually arrested and served a sentence of three years’ probation.  He deserved to go to prison, but like Michael Joseph, this dirty politician kept getting away with murder — figuratively speaking, of course.

My point is that corrupt politicians come in every single color, ethnicity, race, and religion.  Constantly calling residents “racist” for asking questions or demanding the truth is not just wrong, but despicable.  North Miami Beach residents have a right to question not only their elected officials, but the individuals who are running for office and hoping to be elected.

Linda, you have been quite nasty and rude to NMB residents for simply wanting to know the truth about you and where you stand on issues.  It doesn’t matter how you treat me.  I’m not a voter and I have absolutely no vested interest who gets elected.  Besides, nothing you throw at me matters because I’d have to care about you to be offended by you.  And, frankly, unless I’m writing about North Miami Beach politics, I don’t even think about you.

The way you treat former Commissioner Barbara Kramer is simply inexcusable.  As a resident of North Miami Beach, and one who selflessly served her city for longer than you have been a registered voter, Mrs. Kramer has every right to ask questions of all the candidates (not just you), and every right to expect honest, respectful responses.

You have falsely accused her of things that she has not done, including claiming that her “racist statements are on the record,” when they actually are not on the record at all.

If you don’t believe me, please make a public records request for “proof” of her alleged “racist” statements, but don’t be shocked when you get an email from the Clerk stating, “There are no records in response to this request.”

Your constant and unrelenting attack on Mrs. Kramer, and attempts to belittle her for caring about her city, is not the flex you think it is.  It is only making you look like an envious, petulant, spoiled brat.  Trust me, people are watching you do this, and it’s not a good look.

You should stop this type of behavior, as it is quite unbecoming for a “candidate” running for office.

Is this the type of comment you want to see from an aspiring elected official in your city?

Linda, you refuse to understand that you are running for office in North Miami Beach, and residents will necessarily go to your Facebook page to find out what you are about.  The fact that you said, “you’re on my page,” shows that you don’t understand what running for public office entails.

As I said, I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks of me or what false accusations you make about me.  This isn’t about me.

This is about the voting and taxpaying residents of North Miami Beach who have a right to know exactly who is running for office, whether or not those individuals are bona fide residents, what they believe in, and most importantly, how they are going to serve them.

And, yes.  Elected officials are expected to serve the public, not the other way around.

Linda, if you are going to continue balking at answering questions that North Miami Beach residents have a right to ask, maybe you’re not qualified for the job.  From what I can see, you don’t seem to have the temperament or the patience to deal with voters who have high expectations of their elected representatives.
