U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ethics recommends that Michael Joseph be held in CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS!

We live for this!

This is precisely the reason we came out of the self-imposed retirement six months ago when we reported in North Miami Beach Mayor Mike “Michael” Joseph is up to his old dirty tricks! that an anonymous tipster sent us a document entitled, WHAT IS MAYOR MICHAEL JOSEPH HIDING?

Since that glorious moment (and frankly, for the last eight years), we have been anxiously waiting for the day that Michael Joseph is finally escorted in handcuffs to the Miami-Dade County Jail.

Or better yet, to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FDC Miami).

It’s beginning to look like our dreams may be coming true sooner rather than later.

As we have already reported, Michael Joseph refused to comply with multiple subpoenas from the ISC [Investigative Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives] for documents and testimony regarding his role in its investigation of former Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

On March 18, 2026, the ISC [Investigative Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives] issued a recommendation to the U.S. House of Representatives find Michael Joseph in Contempt of Congress.

After its review of the recommendations from the ISC, on June 10, 2026, U.S. Committee on Ethics sent a Letter of Transmission, together with its 221-page CONTEMPT REPORT RELATED TO THE CONDUCT OF MICHAEL JOSEPH, to the full U.S. House of Representatives, as follows:

It’s so beautiful it brought tears to our eyes.

In order to hopefully move things along, this blogger sent this Message to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson on his Facebook Page:

The Honorable Mike Johnson,

On June 10, 2026, Chairman Michael Guest of the U.S. Committee on Ethics sent a Letter of Transmittal to the Honorable Kevin F. McCumber, Clerk of the House of Representatives, recommending that the House pass a Resolution finding (North Miami Beach Mayor and member of the Florida Bar) Michael Joseph in Contempt of Congress (Report 119-693).

Michael Joseph has repeatedly ignored Congressional subpoenas for his involvement in the Ethics Committee’s investigation of former Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

I am writing to you to urge you to bring this Resolution before the House of Representatives for a vote.  Michael Joseph must be held accountable for his willful disregard of the law.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If you are so inclined, we wouldn’t object if anyone out there would like to do the same to help move things along.

Just saying.

Stephanie
