Unrepentant racist Daniela Jean stands by her vile bigotry!

As we previously told you, at a city function on April 11, 2026 North Miami Beach Commissioner Daniela Jean spewed an utterly hateful invective at a public event on public property.

She made it quite clear that if Haitians do not band together and ONLY vote for Haitian candidates that “we will definitely lose the city.”

Needless to say, her tirade was not only contemptible, but the fact that she is a public official campaigning on public property, it was also illegal and a violation of the Miami-Dade County Code of Ethics.

At last night’s City Commission Meeting, Commissioner Fortuna Smukler repeated Daniela’s divisive speech, and gave her “the opportunity to either clarify or apologize.”

Daniela’s so-called “clarification” only served to dig the hole she was standing in deeper and deeper, and as expected, she refused to even consider apologizing.

Because she’s perfectly fine with her inherent racism.

As she started her nonsensical “clarification” by saying, “I want to be very clear, I grew up in this community.  I came here at the age of six years old,” we were quickly reminded of Steven Martin’s classic scene in The Jerk.

And then we almost bust a gut laughing our butts off.

Who knew Daniela Jean was such a comedienne?  Certainly not us.

She continued, “I made comments at our last Commission Meeting that I stand behind.”

Alrighty then!

She also pretended that she didn’t say exactly what she actually did say, and expected the audience to follow along with her gaslighting.

Daniela Jean then claimed that North Miami Beach should become the Tower of Babel, where everyone is speaking different languages because “all communities need to be reached.”

She ranted, “Every community needs something different and the city needs to provide it to every community.”

Hey, Daniela.  Here’s an idea!

Instead of dividing everyone into “communities” how about being an AMERICAN for a change?

Yes, we realize that concept is above your pay grade, but instead of being the “Queen” of the “Haitian community,” maybe try doing the job you were elected to do and represent ALL THE RESIDENTS of North Miami Beach.

Commissioner Phyllis Smith couldn’t take it anymore, and she sharply said, “Let me just tell you something.  This is a different statement than you’re making.  We don’t sit up here for one group, for one ethnic group … to sit up here and say that we’re not reaching every community is an insult to all of us!”

Obviously not wanting to hear the truth, Daniela RUDELY interrupted Phyllis and went on to pivot to a Haitian soccer team that was about to be voted on, and protested that it was going to be a soccer team for the entire city and not just Haitians.

Was Daniela expecting a Haitian-only soccer team?

Phyllis broke in and raised her voice to say, “But you’re stating that the Haitian community is not being reached, and ‘By the way, Haitian community!  Vote for the Haitians so we can be…’  That’s what I just heard!”

NAILED IT!

Of course, Daniela quickly cut her off because, well, truth bombs hurt.

“And it’s a fair statement” but then stubbornly spewed the same bullshit that didn’t fly the first time.  “Every community that needs to be reached needs something different,” she said as she smirked.

Pop some corn and watch Daniela Jean’s self-absorbed racist rant, Part Deux.

WATCH!

North Miami Beach residents should not be subjected to this hateful bigot for another 2-1/2 years.

Please consider starting a recall petition to get her out of there as soon as possible, and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.

  1. Racist is an understatement for this woman. However, she needs the job and apparently will do anything or say anything to keep it. As you can tell, she’s also a FOODIE who loves to eat free food provided for her by the taxpayers. Her frequent trips to the side room are for feeding purposes. City staff has food catered so the Commission doesn’t feel famished as some of them scheme on how much they can pull out of the numerous contracts they approve at every Commission meeting.
The residents of the City need to prove that Daniella was correct when she was concerned about “losing the City” as she stated, and actually vote them out at the next election, better yet, recall Joseph and Jean by the end of this year.

    1. They both need to be recalled before they have a chance to rape the city’s coffers of more tax dollars for themselves, their travel, and their “pet” projects. If they win even one more seat in November, you can kiss your city goodbye because they will pillage the general fund and give away the farm with gift cards, “free” roofs, windows, and home repairs that they’ll secretly spread the word to their “community” weeks before officially advertised (yes, they didthis before and we have the receipts), and dozens more events allegedly for Haitian Heritage Month, that they’ll put on every month of the year. It doesn’t matter that their “community” represents only 1/5 of the city — they will grab 100% of the resources for themselves, while the much larger ethnic and religious groups will get bupkes.

  2. This is absolutely appalling. I don’t understand why WPLG Local 10 focused on the Mayor’s $3,000 plane fare but left this out. The flight issue was worth reporting, but this is on another level entirely and deserves just as much, if not more, attention.

This should be national news. Statements like this have no place in public service, and it is deeply disturbing to hear an elected official speak in a way that suggests one group in our community is superior to others. Our city is diverse, including white, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Haitian, and many more, and no one should be made to feel less than.

This is beyond disappointing. It is offensive, divisive, and completely unacceptable from someone in a leadership position.

    1. Daniela’s idea of “diversity” is a complete takeover of the North Miami Beach government by her “community.”

She also has no problem violating the Charter by telling (ordering, really) the Manager to hire more Haitians in the city. This illegal tactic worked when Andrew Plotkin was the Interim Manager since he and Marline Monstime were Michael Joseph & Co.’s useful idiot puppets.

The reason Michael didn’t want Darvin Williams as Manager is because he won’t be able to get whatever he wants. Unfortunately for the three Criminal Commissioners, Darvin don’t play that game LOL!

  3. Bravo to City Manager Darvin Williams for putting up with these 4 assholes (MJ, MF, DJ, JC) and putting them in their place. Don’t give an inch to them. The residents of the city have your back. Thanks for hanging in there to clean up this City.
