We Endorse
Evan Piper for Mayor
The special election for Mayor of NMB is on Tuesday, December 5. Mail ballots have already arrived. There is no early voting. Turnout will be very low and that makes our vote even more meaningful. The outcome of the Mayoral race will determine the future direction of NMB for years and is the first step to restoring good governance. That outcome is in our hands if we vote.
Please complete, sign and return your Mail Ballot as soon as possible. It must arrive at the elections department by Tuesday, December 5. So please do it now.
You may still request a Mail Ballot until November 23 by calling the Elections Department at 305-499-8444. It takes about a minute.
Why This Race Is So Critical
The NMB Commission, which should have seven Commissioners, currently only has six, after the arrest and removal of the prior mayor for 3 felony voting violations. Despite a court order, three of the Commisioners consistantly fail to show up at the Commission meetings and other vital committee meetings. This is childish passive aggressive behavior but it has serious consequences. Without at least 5 Commisioners present, there is no quorum. Meetings cannot procede, business cannot be transacted and decisions cannot be made. Chaos ensues. Welcome to NMB!
In the absence of effective governance, our community’s needs will never be properly addressed. And we have many needs because we have been ignored for so many years. The list of issues important to our community and its institutions include:
- Placement of sewer pipes
- Proper drainage to prevent flooding
- More and better parks
- Zoning allowances for our shuls and schools
- A more responsive building department
A Mayor who is sensitive to our needs will do much to improve the quality of life in NMB. Evan Piper is that person!

Especially since his opponent is backed by racist, anti-Semites!
Wow that’s awesome,
I heard from people within the 10th Avenue Community, that Dr JACOB is a very big influence on them. He’s hard to convince whom he / his team picks to endorse.
Here it’s obvious.
P, V. is a NO
Certainly not a leader….
E, Piper would make an amazing leader for the city of North Miami Beach,
He’s been the president of the greater North Miami Beach chamber of commerce for like 7plus years, was on the planing and zoning board for like 25 years. Most of the time as the chairman.
So he knows what his job is to run a city beside the fact that most of the people who work for his COMPANY’S have been working for him for 30+ years…that says a lot about e.piper…
It’s very important to get everyone out to vote for for him.
He’s very qualified…
