If you can’t make it to the polls in person to vote for EVAN PIPER FOR MAYOR on December 5, 2023, there’s still time to request an absentee ballot. You can either request one online, or mail in a Vote by Mail Ballot Request.
The Miami-Dade County Election Department has all the information you need, as follows:
Due to recent changes in Florida law, all requests for vote-by-mail ballots expired at the end of 2022. Therefore, any request on file has expired. If you want to continue voting by mail, please submit your request today.
Miami-Dade County voters may choose to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for a specific election, or for all elections in which they are eligible to vote through the next regularly scheduled general election. Remember, the U.S. Post Office will not forward vote-by-mail ballot to a different address. If you want your vote-by-mail ballot sent to an address that’s different from the one on file with the Elections Department, you must send a signed written request (English, Español & Kreyòl form).
Vote-by-Mail Ballot Guidelines
If you are presently registered to vote in Miami-Dade County you may request a vote-by-mail ballot online. You may also request a ballot by email, fax, phone or mail. If you would like your vote-by-mail ballot sent to an address other than the one on file in the Florida Voter Registration, you must send a signed written request which contains the following information:

- Full name of voter
- Date of birth
- Florida driver license number, Florida identification number or last four digits of your social security number
- Residence address
- Mailing address (if applicable)
- Voter registration number (optional)
- Date of the election or elections for which a vote-by-mail is needed
- Signature of voter (written requests only)
The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is 5 p.m. on the twelfth day before the election. We must receive the vote by mail ballot request by 5 p.m., a postmarked vote-by-mail ballot request is not valid.
