The City of North Miami Beach and the NMB Friends of the Library will celebrate Peru’s Independence Day by hosting the 2nd annual “Y Se Llama Perú” Festival. The weekend celebration will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, and Sunday, July 24th, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the NMB Discovery Library & Amphitheater (located at 1601 NE 164th Street, North Miami Beach, FL 33162).
This year’s “Y Se Llama Perú” Festival will be hosted by Aurelio Espinoza, Peruvian Radio Host, and Cynthia de Costa, Host on Telemundo’s News Café Show. The event will showcase Peru’s rich culture, music, food, folkloric dance, and art. Guests will be able to enjoy live performances by renown Peruvian rock band, Grupo Rio, Peruvian Cumbia singer Pedro Loli, Christian Silva, Afrodisiaco, DJ Angelo 305, Jhony Mora, Peruvian Folkloric music performers Hermanos Sulca, Christian Zuares, Andean Dance Group Sumaj Tusuy, and Peruvian Marinera Dancer Abigail Lopez.
The festival will also feature a variety of food and artisanal vendors, an art expo, and a fashion show debuting the latest collection by Peruvian Designer Maritza Guevara.
This is a family friendly event for all ages. There is a $10 donation entry fee benefiting the NMB Friends of the Library, an organization that helps to foster free library programs for the community.
