North Miami Beach Commission Puppet Daniela Jean got VotersOpinion temporarily suspended by filing a false complaint against yours truly.
Little Miss Puppet had the audacity to whine that her home address was “sensitive personal information,” when in fact, her address is a public record.
But, as we pointed out in our last blog, when she filed to run for office on August 5, 2020, every single Campaign Treasurer’s Report she submitted thereafter, which are publicly posted on the website of the City of North Miami Beach, included her home address.
For seven long days, we tried to get HostMonster, an Arizona web hosting company, to understand how Florida Sunshine laws work, to no avail.
On Sunday night our attorney, Michael A. Pizzi, Jr. finally filed a lawsuit against Commission Puppet Daniela Jean for her false and frivolous complaint, and against HostMonster for injunctive relief to give us back our website.
Just hours ago we finally received an email from HostMonster advising us that they have unsuspended our account, and that VotersOpinion.com is back in business.
Our lawsuit against Puppet Commissioner Daniela Jean, however, will continue in full force.
Even though our our blog was down for seven long days, we somehow still managed to cause a bit of a problem for Little Miss Puppet …
We accidentally got her fired from her job at the City of North Miami.
On Friday, November 20, 2020 I sent an email to North Miami City Manager Theresa Therilus and city Attorney Jeff Cazeau, asking a simple question about city’s Civil Service Rules.
Little did we know at the time that our email would set off a series of events that ended up with Daniela Jean being forced to resign from her low-level position of Administrative Coordinator for the Risk Management Department of the City of North Miami. You can read all the gory details in this morning’s Miami Herald article by reporter Aaron Leibowitz, City attorney mistakenly said employees could run for office. Now four could lose jobs.
But that’s a story for another blog.
In the meantime, however, we just wanted to assure our readers that VotersOpinion is back in action.
And if Puppet Commissioner Daniela Jean thought we were mean to her before, we got two words for her:
Myron Rosner
Buckle up, little girl. It’s gonna be a bumpy four years.
Stephanie
Welcome back! You were missed…
Please, Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I’m sure not everybody missed me. LOL!
Bravo please continue with your law suit. Please keep us posted. Very interesting. She thought she could intimidate you. She doesn’t know you are a strong person that doesn’t take crap from anyone. I have been following your stories for years . Even I do not stay in those cities .But you truly care for the little people living in the city. Who doesn’t have a voice . Thanks for your wonderful work.
Thanks for your kind words. They really mean a lot to me!
Thanks alot Stephanie.. Now she will have to take even more money from developers like her mentors Fleurimond and Joseph do. I guess we can look forward to 4 or 5 “yes” votes on anything a developer wants to do in NMB.
You can look forward to all of that and more horrors. Unless you can vote Paule Villard out in two years, North Miami Beach will be an unrecognizable nightmare before the next four years are done. Mark my words.
NMB has turned into a cesspool of corruption. We moved there in 1969, yes ancient history, and can’t believe voters would elect the miscreants that have ruined it. We formed the School Community Council at NMB Sr. High. The 163 St. Shopping Center was a safe place. Sad
I lived in NMB. I also remember when it was a great place to live and raise a family. I had no intention on leaving. Six years ago I got an unsolicited offer to buy my house, so I moved to Davie to be near my son, who already lived here. The first few years I missed my friends so much and I kept wishing I hadn’t left. Now I’m glad I did!
Thankful on this day that you are back up and running the blog. Thankful today that the truth came out in this matter. Thankful for your unbiased reporting. Thankful for the 1st ammendment that protects our
freedom of speech. Thankful that you check the true facts and provide documentation of them. Keep up the good works and have a Happy Thanksgiving and be safe and healthy.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
It’s outrageous that the hosting site suspended you all that time. What was it that Daniela Jean said for them to have shut you down like that? You need to request the recording (if there is one) to find out what she told them. Perhaps you’ll also find out whether it was actually her that made the call or one of her “puppeteers”. Or maybe it was a complaint on one of those “contact us” forms.
I hope you have a pitbull type attorney because silencing the press is a really big deal. And so is our freedom of speech.
According to the email from HostMonster, Daniela complained that someone who posted a comment on a blog publicized her home address, claiming it was “sensitive personal information.” I tried telling them that she is an elected official and that her address was already a public record. They didn’t restore my website until my attorney filed a lawsuit and an emergency injunction. All of a sudden, I was back up and running. Funny how that works. Daniela was the complainant. She also complained to the New Times that I’ve said defamatory things about her, which is ridiculous. Public officials are subject to public criticism. Daniels obviously had no idea what she was getting herself into when she wanted to play politician. She better grow a thick skin real fast because I’m just getting started.
Welcome back Stephanie!
God Bless You!
Thank you. God Bless you, too!
Welcome back, Stephanie.
Thanks, Cheryl!
