Every time I think Michael Joseph can’t do anything more twisted than he’s already done, he goes and outdoes his evil/crazy self.

We previously documented all of Michael’s bizarre behavior, including the times he:

• Gave a fake tip to this blogger about then-candidate Paule Villard in order to knock her out of the competition as an appointee to fill a vacated commission seat;
• “Allegedly” conspired to anonymously and falsely accuse Commissioner Barbara Kramer of not being an NMB resident in an email to City Attorney Sarah Johnston – copying dozens of city employees, NMB residents, and the media! – using the fake identity “Ike Runner;”
• “Allegedly” created a fake mailer, fraudulently using AFSCME’s logo, to slander then-Commissioner Anthony DeFillipo, who was running for Mayor;
• “Allegedly” filed an “anonymous” complaint making false false accusations against City Attorney Sarah Johnston (for which she was categorically cleared of all wrongdoing) in an attempt to have her fired and replaced with his own candidate ;
• Was caught on camera after initially denying that he furtively distributed to the public manufactured evidence backing up those false allegations against Ms. Johnston.
• Was censured by his colleagues on the dais for lying about what he did and refusing to apologize to Ms. Johnston.
• Once again, “allegedly” sending more rounds of “anonymous” emails to city officials and outside counsel, including one threatening a lawsuit, in a vain attempt to disqualify Mayor Tony DeFillipo from running for re-election.

As if those things weren’t contemptible enough, you won’t believe what he’s done now.

According to an April 20, 2020 Memorandum from City Manager Esmond Scott to North Miami Beach Police Major Richard Rand, on Good Friday, April 10, 2020, Michael Joseph called Mr. Scott to complain that Mayor Anthony “Tony” DeFillipo “was driving up and down his (Commissioner Joseph’s) street.”

Yes, you read that correctly.

Apparently, Michael was quite agitated as he explained he had been watching his security camera and spied Tony’s car “going by his home up and down the street on several occasions that day.”

City Manager Esmond Scott attempted to talk Michael off the ledge.  When Michael perceived that Mr. Scott wasn’t taking him seriously, he admonished the City Manager by telling him he was a “grown ass man.”  Mr. Scott took exception to that language, telling him that “grown ass is not in [his] spoken vocabulary.”

When Michael calmed down, he advised Mr. Scott to forget about the complaint as he “would handle it his own way” and “take care of it himself.”

That sounds like a threat to us.

The City Manager relayed the entire conversation to Mayor DeFillipo, who told Mr. Scott that he had been “seeking an address [of] a resident who lived in their neighborhood.”

Tony then promptly contacted Major Rand and filed an official Police Report against Michael Joseph for harassment and for the perceived threat Michael made against him.

To show you just how insane Michael’s accusations are, here is the satellite map of both their homes.  As you can see, Tony lives literally two blocks from Michael.

To put things even more into perspective, both Tony and Mike live in a section of North Miami Beach known as Sunray West.

As you can see, Commissioner Michael’s complaint is nothing but the rantings of a paranoid lunatic.

“Last time I checked, this is still a free country and not Communist Cuba,” Tony DeFillipo told VotersOpinion.  “As a resident and the Mayor of this great City of North Miami Beach, I have the right to drive on any street in the entire city any time and as often as I please.  If Commissioner has a problem with that then it’s too bad.  I’ve done nothing wrong to warrant this complaint.”

Apparently, North Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Joseph requires advance permission for residents to drive down his street.
