Mary Estimé-Irvin may have won her North Miami District 3 election against former North Miami Clerk Michael Etienne by a scant 74 votes, but she’s lost something much more valuable – her house.
Then again, this woman is hardly the sharpest tool in the shed.
She’s also in debt for more money than most people will ever earn in their entire lives.
Since 2013, Mary has managed to rack up a grand total of $1,415,247.84 in unpaid judgments and liens – and counting, as follows:
- The sum of $1,000.00 to the Florida Elections Commission for campaign finance violations committed during her North Miami City Council District 2 campaign in May 2013;
- The sum of $138.50, including interest, to the City of North Miami for a Animal Control Code Violation filed June 30, 2015;
- The sum of $188.50, including interest, to the City of North Miami for a False Alarm Code Violation filed July 24, 2015;
- A total of $5,262.16 to the Florida Elections Commission for eleven campaign violations from her run for State Representative in August 2016;
- The sum of $2,453.45 to the Miami-Dade County Tax Assessor for the 2016 Real Estate Taxes on her home;
- The sum of $77,665.64 to the Internal Revenue Service due to a Federal Tax Lien filed April 19, 2017;
- The sum of $1,926.80 to Miami-Dade County for “medical services not paid” per a Default Final Judgment dated August 29, 2017;
- The sum of $1,326,066.24 to the Internal Revenue Service due to a Federal Tax Lien filed August 2, 2018; and
- The sum of $3,000.00 to the Florida Elections Commission for campaign violations she committed last May and June during the 2019 election for North Miami City Council District 3.
Her most colossal act of stupidity by far is when she used her $154,000.00 house, which she owned free and clear, as collateral for a private loan for an undisclosed amount. Instead of simply giving a mortgage to VWC LLC, a Florida Limited Liability company, she actually sold the house to the lender on May 8, 2018 by Quit Claim Deed.
Not only did she give up the title to her own home, she also gave up her homestead exemption, causing the property taxes to increase from $2,653.86 to $6,621.97, or an astronomical 250%!
At the time of the sale, Mary had not paid her real estate taxes for the years 2016 in the amount of $2,453.45 or 2017 in the amount of $2,610.34. Both were eventually paid by the new owner on April 3, 2019 and February 6, 2020, respectively.
Although the real estate taxes for 2018 and 2019 still remain unpaid, Mary is no longer responsible for those bills.
But that’s the least of her problems right now.
When we discovered that she sold her home and made a public records request for proof of her residency in the form of a deed or lease, the response was, “Please be advised there are no records of a warranty deed or lease in our possession.”
Apparently, for nearly two years Mary has continued to live rent-free in the house that she no longer owns.
However, her free ride is about to come to a screeching halt.
We can safely assume that Mary has not repaid any of the money she owes to VWC LLC because on February 10, 2020, VWC LLC sold the house previously owned by Mary Estimé-Irvin to …
… HER OPPONENT IN THE LAST ELECTION!
We reached out to Michael Etienne who told us, “I have no intention of evicting her from the property. She will have the option to stay if she agrees to sign a lease and pay a reasonable amount of rent.”
Michael is a successful attorney and an equally successful real estate investor. He certainly didn’t buy this property so Mary could continue living rent-free on his dime.
Then again, even if she does sign a lease, considering Mary’s history of skipping out on all her creditors, there’s no guarantee she’ll even make her rent payments.
After all, she’s already been evicted once before.

Wow
1. She also ran for district 2? Can’t blame her it’s easy money being Mayor/council just ask Scott. He would have milked it to his dying day had the city not put term limits. I won’t be surprised if he runs for Congress. Getting back to Mary again why didn’t Scott or anyone check to see if she was in good standing with the Florida Elections Commission?
2. Scott Galvin made a big deal when a former councilwoman was one of 15 non profits applying for money from the city. He made a big scene when he saw her, let it be known that the councilwoman used her position to make sure her mother got the best cabinets to remodel her kitchen. The money from remodeling came from the city’s program for helping residents repair their homes. Scott even went as far as asking if the former councilwoman had paid back the city the money she owed it.. HOW come he didn’t bother to make sure if Mary or any other person running for public office in The city of North Miami owed money to the city?
3. What? Ha ha ha. That is one sweet revenge. I wonder once evicted, come on she obviously doesn’t like paying mortgage or rent will she move to a different district to for council person. Even if she stays in the house half of the residents didn’t vote for her the first time around, and I’m sure she lost the votes of those not wanting Wendy’s.
Marie is part of the former Mayor Andre Pierre and current Mayor Bien-Aime street team. Don’t let Galvin fool you, he’s a part-time member of the mafia as well when it’s beneficial. He plays great politics in front of and behind the camera. He’s the same guy that supports Arthur “Duke” Sorey. Since he has known him since a child and Duke and his brother Dre has always helped him with his campaigns.
Wow, she truly is a special kind. So much to depth and she is enjoying the attention I guess. Now she is only left with the option of staying with rent and that too it will be very difficult to get it from her. The whole scenario is like a movie with no ending.
Meanwhile you have Arthur “Duke” Sorry’s friend the Director of Parks & Recreation Derrick “DC”Corker using his position to get personal business for his company on City time with City money. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/north-miami/article240674141.html?client=safari
But what’s going to be done, Duke will just brush it under the rug and back to business as usual (depleting the city of money) since this is the same guy (DC) that gives Duke’s brother Andre “Dre” Sorey special treatment in the Parks & Recreation Department. Please note, the Parks & Recreation Department is under Dukes management while Larry was there. A couple of months ago they gave Andre a raise along with another employee Michael “Mikey” Sheehan without merit. However another union employee found out about this and made a complaint and they had to take the raise away. Pull the public record on this and you will see. Also, Andre Sorey is is barely at work he’s always doing his personal business on city time since his brother is the a manger and DC overlooks it.
DC over looks it too because he also has another business he’s running which he does in city time as well. Oh the irony it’s called “Handling Risky Business”. This City is a joke a rooster the board.
