Three years ago we had the privilege of announcing that “On June 22, 2016, The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement, Inc. (CFA) awarded the North Miami Beach Police Department with “EXCELSIOR” status for the second time, which is the highest recognition the accreditation agency bestows.”
Today the North Miami Beach Police Department did it again FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A ROW!
Today our command staff met with the commission for Florida law enforcement accreditation. It is our pleasure to announce that we have once again achieved the excelsior status! We have been an accredited law enforcement agency for over 22 years. #316 pic.twitter.com/rbEyPKIiJ2

The North Miami Beach Police Department was the first law enforcement agency in Miami-Dade County to become accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) in 1991, and the first ever in the County to achieve “EXCELSIOR” status. One of the criteria for this award is that agencies must pass five successful reaccreditation cycles. The honorary distinction of “EXCELSIOR” recognition takes 17 years to achieve.
Please join VotersOpinion in congratulating one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the State of Florida – the North Miami Beach Police Department – for their distinguished achievement!

And this is the Police Chief that Paule Villard wants to fire.
Yeah. He’s obviously the wrong nationality.
He doesn’t possess the real qualities of a police officer like reading to kids and disappearing for 3 months at a time, just saying
I guess not. The only thing Chief Hernandez seems to be good at is expertly running a professional and exceptional police department. I suppose that’s a lost art these days. Amirite?
