In the just posted Miami Herald article, Former mayor pleads guilty to campaign finance charge, Carli Teproff reported that North Miami Beach EX-Mayor-slash-convicted FELON has “pleaded guilty to a single charge of unlawful compensation.”
WTF?
Myron was charged with FOUR FELONY COUNTS and FIVE MISDEMEANORS!
- 2 counts Unlawful Compensation or Reward for Official Behavior (3rd Degree Felony)
- 1 count Grand Theft (Felony)
- 1 count Illegal Expenditures/Campaign (Misdemeanor)
- 1 count False Report of Expenditure (Misdemeanor)
- 1 count Knowledge of Unlawful reporting of Contributions and Expenditures (Misdemeanor)
- 1 count Illegal Contribution (Misdemeanor)
- 1 count Worthless Check (Felony)
- 1 count Insufficient Funds/Campaign Expense (Misdemeanor)
Yet, somehow, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle made all those charges go away except for one count of unlawful compensation!
His “punishment?” Three years of probation, which can be whittled down to two “if he follows all the rules.”
CAN YOU BEAT THAT CRAP?
Oh, and he’s also banned from running for public office while he’s on probation.
Well, Hallelujah Praise the Lord!
All that hard work by investigators, all that money spent on court hearings, all that time waiting for justice … and it boils down to a big fat NOTHING!
The political elite have no rules. They lie, they cheat, they steal, and they do it with impunity. It doesn’t matter what they do, as long as they have the right political connections, they get away with everything. And sometimes, even murder.
Myron was caught red handed with campaign finance fraud. There was incontrovertible evidence that he strong armed a vendor, bullied him into giving him free services and merchandise, tried to cover it up by writing a check after the fact, and lied in reporting the expenditure. There was no wiggle room whatsoever.
But, he was able to score a Get Out of Jail card all because he’s married to CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE SARAH ZABEL.
Never let it be said that politicians don’t take care of their own.
And THIS is exactly why the public is 100% fed up with all of them.
Watch what happens next.

Wow, three years probation that’s justice for you Rundle style but the mark will be on the Myron Rosner name forever. It is a miracle he that he was punished at all. I wonder which rules he has to follow before so he can get his probation down to 2 years.
Can you blame them? One can only imagine the fuss he would make in jail. He would require 24 protection from being smacked silly by an irritated inmate. This is more humane…for his fellow felons.
I feel your frustration. However, I am a realist. This is a good outcome. The alternative is possibly a very bad outcome, Myron skates.
All it takes is one sympathetic juror who can’t stop staring at pathetic Myron with his sobbing kids and fawning wife.
