If the problems in the North Miami Police Department aren’t bad enough, a new scandal is brewing at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).
Channel 10 reported tonight that the museum’s director, Babacar M’bow, has been accused of sexual harassment and told that he’s barred from showing up at work, at City Hall and any city events until the investigation has been completed.
Earlier today, a source told me that a MOCA employee filed the complaint.
Unprompted, he went on to tell me some of the alleged gory details, which I will not repeat here.
My source then told me that Assistant Director Alan Waufle was also in hot water. He said that Waufle was the subject of a racial discrimination complaint, and that he was also placed on administrative leave.
According to Channel 10, that complaint is also being investigated.
On the heels of this newest North Miami scandal, this afternoon I made a public records request for, “copies of any and all documentation regarding the suspension and/or administrative leave of MOCA Director Babacar M’bow and Assistant Director Alan Waufle.”
I’m sure the Clerk will get right on it.
I’ll keep ya’ll posted as soon as I find out anything.
North Miami.
It’s always something.
