Tomorrow morning, Miami Beach Commissioner Deede Weithorn is hosting a Very Special Breakfast. The theme of her little get together is called “Tracking the flow of cash collected by Jonah Wolfson’s RFP.”
The Commish seems to be a tad perturbed that one of her soon to be termed out colleagues on the dais, Jonah Wolfson, has formed a political committee called “Relentless for Progress” (RFP), so she’s made it her mission to “track the cash flow.”
Hey, Deede. I’ve done it for you. Click here: Committee Tracking System
Just scroll down and click the button marked “Campaign Finance Activity.”
Try not to break a nail.
Wasn’t that easy?
Here’s the thing.
I don’t know jack about Miami Beach politics. Frankly, I didn’t even know they were having an election. It wouldn’t have been a blip on my radar if Deede’s husband, Mark, hadn’t insinuated himself into the recent North Miami Beach City Council election.
Even that wouldn’t have mattered, except that Mark attacked me personally for no freaking reason whatsoever. I wasn’t running for office. I wasn’t a player in the election. There was no reason for him to drag me into his negative ad campaign.
But, unfortunately for him, he did.
And now #DirtyPolitician Mark Weithorn is running for his wife’s seat on the Miami Beach City Commission.
Ironically, while Deede is attacking Jonah Wolfson over using a political committee to steer the Miami Beach election, that’s exactly the tactic her husband used in North Miami Beach when he commissioned an Electioneering Communications Organization (a political committee!) called “Common Sense” to send out his hit pieces.
And now I have him in my cross hairs. Figuratively speaking, of course!
And, while I’m at it, I figured I’d go after his wife, Deede.
For sport.
Oh, and because she’s plays just as dirty as he does.
The Miami Herald reported last month that Jonah Wolfson’s political committee had raised half a million dollars within a month of its formation. Although he told the Herald he hadn’t decided which candidates his committee would back, it’s quite obvious there’s no love lost between him and Deede Weithorn.
Referencing an attack ad against Mark Weithorn’s opponent, Ricky Arriola, which had been mailed out in May, the Herald noted:
Common Sense received a $5,000 donation from Arriola’s opponent Mark Weithorn, but Weithorn declined to comment on the donation and insisted he had no ties to the ad.
It was Weithorn’s wife, term-limited Miami Beach Commissioner Deede Weithorn, who referenced Wolfson’s PAC during Wednesday’s commission meeting. She pulled more than one procurement item from the consent agenda and sought to ask each vendor if they’d been asked to contribute to a PAC.
Wolfson bristled at this.
“Are you saying, Commissioner Weithorn, that you have never solicited a contribution or been part of a situation where a political committee or state organization has solicited money for a political entity?” Wolfson said. “You’ve never done that?”
I don’t know who this Jonah Wolfson is. I know nothing about him or his political committee. But, what he said … Oh, yeah! Love it!
So, now Deede is hosting a breakfast for the purpose of “tracking the flow of cash” that Jonah Wolfson raised, even though she could have easily followed that paper trail with a click of the mouse. Between March 23, 2015 and June 30, 2015, “Relentless for Progress” reported $999,000.00. The contributors’ names, addresses and donation amounts are right on the Florida Department of State’s website.
Deede, you don’t need a breakfast to find that out. Save the calories, honey. You could stand to skip a meal or two.

Oh the games people play. By the way, who’s paying for this “breakfast”?? I sure hope it’s not the taxpayers!
Deede and her troll husband is a real scumbag. He plays politics in everything he does, This scumbag couple are only pissed off at Jonah because he collected more money that they have. All she ever did as a Commish is shake down people for money. Her dirtbag husband is following in her footsteps. Miami Beach doesn’t need any more Weithorns.
