Let’s get one thing straight. North Miami Beach does NOT have a gang problem!
The two nice young men who produced a hip hop video under the name NMB STUNNAZ entitled Pull Out The Stick are just aspiring entrepreneurs who want to break into the music business.
They have a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a YouTube channel, and an Instagram feed.
Their stage names are Eb Da Iceman and Slimm Kidd.
Elton L Bandoo is the CEO of Major Currency Entertainment, LLC, which produces their videos under the name of Major Currency Studios, according to Audiomack.com.
Audiomack lauds the group as being “fully developed; knows how to conduct business and carry themselves accordingly.”
Apparently, NMB STUNNAZ are easy to interview, bring in comedy, play quality music that’s “a breath of fresh air.”
Oh, and did I mention the lead hip-hopper likes to shoot cops?
I guess that must be the hilarious part of their act.
As everyone knows by now, Elton L. Bandoo was arrested yesterday for shooting North Miami Beach Police Officer Lino Diaz.
Fortunately, Officer Diaz wasn’t killed.
When I first posted this video on April 27, 2013, there had been a rash of gun and gang violence in North Miami Beach. Voters Opinion “crime reporter” Karin Kimball researched the crime statistics for a presentation at a city council meeting, and posted her column here on June 3, 2013. Karin told the council that gang violence had increased due to the fact that the North Miami Beach Police Department’s Gang Unit had been disbanded.
That was almost two years ago. Despite promises to bring it back, the Gang Unit is still MIA.
(As an aside, that’s one of the reasons I finally got the hell out of dodge and moved north of the border.)
At the time of the budget cuts to the Police Department, and subsequent layoffs, there were some cop-hating NMB residents who absolutely insisted there were no gangs in North Miami Beach. They were praising the city council for dismantling the Gang Unit and other specialized teams in the interest of saving money.
In light of the most recent shooting of a police officer by someone who apparently appears to be a gang member, I wonder how all that downsizing is working out for them.
Just saying.
In their signature video, Pull Out The Stick, The members of NMB STUNNAZ proudly flash their weapons as they challenge anyone who cares to watch, “You say you got guns, well we got guns, too!”
And, they ain’t playin’.
North Miami Beach Police Officer Lino Diaz attempted to serve a search warrant at 16033 NE 8 Avenue.
He was met by gunfire.
He’s lucky to be alive.
Don’t tell me there are no gangs in North Miami Beach.
Don’t tell me NMB doesn’t need a Gang Unit.
Don’t tell me there isn’t a War on Cops.
I can see it from my house.
They can see it from across the pond.
UPDATE: NBC Miami just reported that Bandoo is charged with first-degree attempted murder.

It is unfortunate that an officer had to be shot to prove this point about gangs. Now, also, some will see that these officers put their lives at risk, every single day, for NMB citizens. Does someone have to be killed before the risks are recognized?… That would be criminal
Why don’t you report that he has a concealed weapons license issued by the state of florida. Why dont you report saying that the guns were owned and registered in the of Florida. Before you make him out to be some “Cop killer” remember he has the same rights as you
Are you f***ing kidding me? I don’t have the right to shoot at cops and neither does that piece of shit. He’s just lucky he didn’t kill Officer Diaz or I’d be pushing for the death penalty. As it is, I hope he gets life in prison.
IT SEEMS AS IF THERE ARE A LOT OF PRECONCEIVED IGNORANT NOTIONS INVOLVED HERE. IF THE YOUNG MAN WAS A KILLER AS THE MEDIA IS PORTRAYING HIM, WHY WOULD HE WILLINGLY GO WITH POLICE AFTER THE EVENT AND WHY AREN’T YOU MENTIONING THAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS BEING ROBBED AND HEARD HIS MOTHER SCREAMING FOR HELP..LET US GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE WE BEGIN TO PUBLICLY LYNCH THE YOUNG MAN .. YES .. HIS JUDGEMENT WAS INCORRECT FOR SHOOTING THE OFFICER BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT IT WAS INTENTIONAL/ CRIMINAL INTENT/ MENS REA… HOPEFULLY THE FACTS WILL SURFACE AS TIME GOES BY
Of course, he’s an upstanding model citizen. A pillar of the community…
Who just happened to shoot a cop while being served with a federal search warrant.
Makes perfect sense.
To someone like you, GC.
Just saying.
He “willingly” went with the police? the ignorance of some people is truly amazing.
I suppose a SWAT team surrounding your house like a firing squad, with all their weapons aimed at your head does have a way to gently persuade you to willingly surrender.
You could look at it that way, right?
Yeah, I just hurt myself laughing.
The cops were seen unloading guns from the home into evidence, who wants to bet they match up with that “music” video? First thing any defense attorney will do is make sure the jury never ever sees that clip.
Good thing I downloaded that video and have a copy saved. Just in case they remove it from YouTube.
Just saying.
And what makes the video even sweeter is that at the bond (denied) hearing, his attorney argued “I do not believe that he is a threat to the community.” Maybe I just didn’t understand the lyrics… I’m sure they will be thoroughly reviewed at trial 🙂 Thank g-d, one more violent thug off the street.
my knowledge of guns is zip to none but does that look like a sawed off shotgun in that video?
We have to keep fighting. Dont give up giving the best to our beloved America. “Duty is ours, the result is God’s” j quincy adams Mdpd has distroyed the best ,most proactive units. Think about it. A unit that arrrsted 5000 criminals a year, hundreds of guns’ more than 50 % violent career criminals etc etc, a lot of drugs …. Are we losing our country? God help us!! Pray for our country
I Live in North Miami Beach since 2nd grade and I graduated in 07 from North Miami Beach High School and I know most of the Gangs that was in North Miami Beach and NMB Stunnaz is not a GANG the only Gang left is North Miami Beach Police Departmentif you check the history of the department you will see the corruption the false imprisonment and young black men picture use at a gun range no one talks about that but you won’t talk about the officer that shoots a black man and gets away with it
I’ve already covered the mug shot crap, but I’ll say it again since you must have missed it. The photos used by the sniper team were mugshots and other pictures of different people, including Osama Bin Laden, who last time I checked, was NOT a “young black” man. He’s also dead. Maybe that’s why he’s not complaining. (http://wp.me/p20gv9-5RT)
The narrative that ONLY pictures of “young black men” were used was a lie. When the inconvenient truth came out, the story died.
As for “false imprisonment,” I assume you have proof that this happened, such as the name of a “victim” on the record. If not, it’s just another unfounded rumor.
I’d talk about “the officer that shoots a black man and gets away with it” if I knew what you were talking about. Where and when did this happen? Who was the victim? Who was the police officer? Facts would be nice.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to the Ferguson “hands up, don’t shoot” lie, the truth has already been proven that Michael Brown did not say that. He attacked the police officer and tried to take his gun from him. Officer Wilson shot Brown in self-defense. Enough witnesses corroborated Officer Wilson’s testimony to convince a grand jury AND ERIC HOLDER’S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, that Officer Wilson acted in self-defense, and that the race of the suspect was irrelevant.
So, if that’s what you meant by “the officer that shoots a black man and gets away with it,” there! I talked about it.
and to make comment on the video that video was posted since 2011 if you seen any other rap artist from Miami made a remix of the song pull out the stick. the only difference is they decided to put their own register license guns in the video that was recorded in the backyard of the house. Its a art fourm that’s is misunderstood by people that dont understand music is different from real life. If you feel its the same the Ice T need to be lock up for the song he did
Elton L. Bandoo was arrested for shooting a police officer, not making a video. Violent rap videos may be an “art form,” but so was “Piss Christ.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piss_Christ)
You might appreciate that kind of “art.” It’s still tasteless, vulgar, and in the case of the rap video, it promotes and glorifies violence.
In any event, however, I hope we’re clear that Bandoo was not arrested for making that video. His choice of “art form,” however, speaks volumes as to his innate character.
As an aside, did you really graduate from high school? Seriously? Don’t they teach spelling and grammar any more?
Just asking.
