Several readers have asked me why I haven’t written about the conflict in Israel and Gaza. The truth is if I had written this post yesterday or even this morning, I’m not sure I could have stopped the flood of anger from pouring out of my fingers onto the keyboard without breaking a few nails. Or keys.
But since I spent a productive day at the office (no, folks, this blog is not my real job!), and ran a few errands, I’ve had time to cool down a bit since I saw the all the news broadcasts about the escalating violent outbursts against Jews all over the world.
This angst is nothing new. I usually try to distract myself from that anger by focusing on the petty antics of the even pettier politicians who act as if what happens in North Miami and North Miami Beach is going to make a difference twenty, fifty or a hundred years from now. Believe me, it isn’t.
What happens in the Middle East, however, has the potential to change the future of civilization as we know it. The consequences of the war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas are much more dire than most Americans realize.
This is not just about Israel’s right to exist, even though that is at the very top of the list.
This is about freedom and democracy.
It is about whether or not you want to live in a free and civil society or become slaves to the barbaric Sharia law.
If last Sunday’s rally of hate-filled Jihadists on the streets of downtown Miami didn’t send chills up and down your spine, you have been living under a rock.
If you think the Hamas and its supporters don’t hate Jews and want to obliterate them from the face of the earth, you probably also believe in unicorns.
The Hamas Charter issued on August 18, 1988 specifically calls for the destruction of all Jews and the State of Israel. In The Charter of Allah: The Platform of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), that terrorist organization is not content to only take control of Israel, but it calls for a global Jihad, or “holy war,” against anyone who refuses to submit to Islam. Especially the Jews.
The Hamas Charter’s introduction states, “For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave, so much so that it will need all the loyal efforts we can wield, to be followed by further steps and reinforced by successive battalions from the multifarious Arab and Islamic world, until the enemies are defeated and Allah’s victory prevails.”
It gets worse from there.
Article Two: The Link between Hamas and the Association of Muslim Brothers: “It is characterized by a profound understanding, by precise notions and by a complete comprehensiveness of all concepts of Islam in all domains of life: views and beliefs, politics and economics, education and society, jurisprudence and rule, indoctrination and teaching, the arts and publications, the hidden and the evident, and all the other domains of life.”
But wait, there’s more.
Article Five: Dimensions of Time and Space of the Hamas: “Its special dimension extends wherever on earth there are Muslims, who adopt Islam as their way of life; thus, it penetrates to the deepest reaches of the land and to the highest spheres of Heavens.”
Article Seven: The Universality of Hamas: “By virtue of the distribution of Muslims, who pursue the cause of the Hamas, all over the globe, and strive for its victory, for the reinforcement of its positions and for the encouragement of its Jihad, the Movement is a universal one.”
And, quoting the Muslim prophet Muhammad:
“The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! This will not apply to the Gharqad, which is a Jewish tree (cited by Bukhari and Muslim).“
There is no doubt in the mind of this Jew that the Hamas hate us.
They want to kill us.
There is no doubt in the mind of this Jew that without Israel, they will succeed.
Now their Jihad has come to America.
It has come to South Florida.
It has come to North Miami Beach.
As reported by CBS Miami, WSVN-7 News, Local 10, NBC 6, and The Miami Herald, an Orthodox synagogue in the North Miami Beach area known as “the doughnut hole,” was vandalized with anti-Semitic symbols and graffiti. Congregation Torah V’Emunah is located in Miami-Dade County, in an area that is surrounded by the City of North Miami Beach even though it’s not located within the actual city limits.
Once this hate crime hit the local news, it went viral. Especially on social media.
This hate crime is obviously a reaction to the escalating conflict between Israel and the Hamas. But this is not the first, nor will it be the last time battles will be waged between the Israelis and the terrorist organization that the people of Gaza elected to lead them.
Yes, elections do have consequences.
Each and every time the Hamas pushes Israel past the breaking point – this time it was the murder of three Jewish teens in the West Bank – Israel is forced to push back. And when Israel does what is necessary to protect her citizens, the Jew-hatred that lays otherwise dormant in far too many segments of society awakens anew.
They like to call it “anti-Zionism.” But everyone knows it’s nothing more than a bitter and intense hatred of the Jews.
Not that they really need an excuse, but an Israeli-Arab conflict somehow “justifies” a flare-up of the deep rooted anti-Semitism that already exists in the place where any semblance of a soul has long since abandoned.
In their warped view of the Jewish State, Israel is “occupying” Arab land.
Because it’s just so obvious that Israel is taking over the entire Middle East, right?
To that insane accusation, I have only one response.
For those who can handle the truth, here’s a dose of reality.
For those who can’t, here is a caveat: Warning: This video contains scenes that some viewers may find disturbing.

“Spreading the Wealth”
Unfortunately, Israel lost the support of its most valuable ally: The united States of America.
Obama is no friend of Israel.
The nation that once refused to negotiate with terrorists now has its Secretary of State negotiating on behalf of them.
It is sad when friends betray friends.
These savages hate EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING: Women, gays and lesbians, art, leisure, etc. And in case they missed anything, they hate all of Western Culture wholesale.
Freedom to speak out against these animals and to expose their faces is not enough. They do not want a 2 State solution. They do not want to live in peace. This is not about any Israeli military occupation in Gaza. This is about blind vicious hatred and intent to kill Jews. If you are a Jew you better wake up and become heavily armed.
As these animals were spewing their hatred of Jews and vandalizing synagogues in south Florida, on Sunday President Obama marked the end of Ramadan by thanking Muslims for their “many achievements and contributions…to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.”
Exactly what is Obama referring to? 911? The Boston Marathon? Suicide bombers? Benghazi?
Hamas takes money that could be used for schools and hospitals and builds tunnels and hate – and do not forget their stated goal is to eliminate Israel. When will – and can – moderate Palestinians speak up and say go away Hamas? —Or are they too fearful and disempowered to do so. It is Hamas against their own people. Here’s to peace in the best sense of the word.
The people of Gaza cannot speak up to Hamas. As reported just now (w.jpost.com/Operation-Protective-Edge/Report-Hamas-executes-alleged-spies-shoots-protesters-in-Gaza-369331), “Over the past few days, Hamas has executed more than 30 civilians from various parts of the Gaza Strip which it suspected of collaborating with Israel, unidentified Palestinian security sources told the Palestine Press News Agency.”
THERE IS NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN GAZA! Their “constitution” is the Hamas Charter. It’s shut up or DIE!
So awful.
Thanks for reporting.
