North Miami Beach Police Department: Emergency Preparathon
Do you know what you would do during an emergency or disaster? Only about two-in-five Americans say that they have a plan for what to do under those circumstances. We need to change that. That’s why the North Miami Beach Police Department has developed an Emergency PrepareAthon which will provide individuals and organizations in our community with an opportunity to learn to prepare for a variety of emergencies and disasters.
Being prepared for emergencies and disasters is a shared responsibility. It takes the whole community working together to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from the destructive forces of nature and other emergencies and disasters. Our PreparAthon offers guidance and resources to help workplaces, schools, houses of worship, community-based organizations, and the whole community, information which is necessary to stay safe before, during, and after an emergency or disaster.
You are cordially invited to attend our free Emergency PreparAthon on June 25th, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jules Littman Performing Arts Theater at 17015 NE 19 Avenue, North Miami Beach, Florida and learn to better protect yourself and your property! (ADULTS ONLY DUE TO MATURE SUBJECT MATTER)
