Settle down, folks, the mystery has been solved!
Thanks to North Miami’s Public Information Manager Pam Solomon, who emailed me late last night, I can now inform you that that the Qualifying Period for potential candidates ends at 12:00 PM, MONDAY, JUNE 23, 2014.
This information was available all along in Ordinance No. 1373, which states:So, you see, folks … it was there all along. We just needed to know where to look! It was hiding in plain sight, right under our noses, on the city’s website in the “City Clerk’s Office – Election” page:
It’s pretty obvious to me that anyone running for Mayor, who wasn’t smart enough to figure this out all by their lonesome, might want to reconsider that decision.
Just saying.
Of course, I didn’t find it, either, but I have no intention of running for office in North Miami.
Or anywhere else, for that matter.
Ever!
But I know someone who should consider running.
If anyone is qualified to run the City of North Miami, it’s Pam Solomon!
Think about this for a minute, folks. Pam actually emailed me at 11:40 PM LAST NIGHT to let me know about the filing deadline.
Is that AMAZING or what?
It impresses the hell out of me!
Pam has been working for the city since she graduated Kindergarten, and apparently knows where all the bodies are buried.
Or, at least the Ordinances anyway.
Anywhere you go in North Miami, you’ll see Pam Solomon. She is EVERYWHERE. I’ve seen her at every every city function, running the show and making sure things run smoothly. She is one of those rare, super responsible employees who never punches a time clock and always takes the job very seriously.
The folks at North Miami City Hall should worship the ground she walks on.
And then double her salary!
So, yeah, if anyone deserves to be Mayor, it’s Pam Solomon! Everyone else just might as well go home now.
Pam Solmon gets my endorsement.

The obvious question is does she live in the city?
I’m not sure, Prem. But remember, this is North Miami we’re talking about. Residency doesn’t count. 🙂
Total agreement! Pam is the best!
Maybe Pam can make Public Records requests easier at City Hall… Happy Weekend Stephanie!
Pam will be an excellent choice for mayor as she is bright and smart … Plus, Pam gets along with all diverse communities making up North Miami compare to this one candidate’s previous performance before the Board of Adjustment:
