After the street shooting and bomb explosion last week, North Miami Beach resident (and VotersOpinion.com “Crime Reporter”) Karin Kimball decided that she’s sick and tired of the violence in our city.
First she started a Facebook page entitled Project Saving Lives. She asked me to join her as an Administrator and I agreed.
Then Karin decided to organize a demonstration in front of NMB City Hall on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 5:30 before the start of the City Council Meeting. She also created a Facebook Event called Project Saving Lives.
If you are already on Facebook please visit the group page Project Saving Lives and check out the articles and videos that have been posted about the violence in our community. If you are interested in attending the demonstration, please go to Project Saving Lives and click “Join.”
Even if you aren’t on Facebook, you can attend by just showing up!
Fliers are also available in printable and email-able PDF format in English, Creole and Spanish. Click your language preference and print. It’s that easy!
(Note: The translations might not be perfect but, hey, we did we best we could. Special thanks to Google Translate.)
Bring your friends, family and neighbors. We look forward to seeing you there.

Rich (IUPA President), this would be a great event to co-sponsor as a union. Please add support to Karin, please send a press release to all media outlets, and please let all union members know about this event so we can all attend and wear our blue shirts in support of such a great cause and a cause we’ve been fighting city hall over for a few years now. Thanks
It was suggested by the Chief that officers shouldn’t attend…. Gotta love the 1st amendment
Hey Stephanie and Karin I hope you all post some kind of update on how the event went. I wanted to attend but had a prior engagement in Miami.
Ten people came out. We held up our signs. People honked at us. We went home. The end.
