An Updated Press Release was issued by the North Miami Beach Police Department minutes ago.  Major Kathy Katerman confirmed that an arrest was made, as follows:

Over this past weekend North Miami Beach Police detectives made one arrest in this case.  Detectives are still actively pursuing other involved subjects and checking for links to any other similar cases.  Detectives are working with several law enforcement agencies to solve other possible cases.  Releasing any additional information today could compromise this open investigation in many ways.  We cannot disclose the arrestee, the arrestee photo, the arrestee name, the arrest location, or the arrest form at this time.  We ask that the media assist us, by also not disclosing any such information as well.  The arrested juvenile was charged with armed sexual battery, armed carjacking, armed kidnapping, and possession of marijuana.  We have no further information.  We will not be giving any interviews today.  Once investigators have concluded the investigation and have the responsible suspects in custody, a press conference will be announced to disclose more details.
