Little Reggie Recuperates at Home.
Little Reggie is recuperating at home from his surgery. He has his own private room so he can rest in peace and quiet. He will be bandaged up for the next 6-8 weeks. At first, he couldn’t even walk, he was dragging his feet due to the bandage and freaking out trying to get out of the bandage. The vet said this is normal, as cats will feel that they are “trapped” when they are bandaged. All this looked very scary, especially seeing how long he’d have to be bandaged. But, Little Reggie being as smart as he is, quickly adjusted. He is now walking, eating and even playing and getting up for his frequent visits from Brother Oliver. He is such a little fighter and has such a will to live. He’s awesome!
We raised $1,455 so far, however, we fell short and Liza and I had to put up the remaining $237 after the surgery was totaled up (not counting the money we put up front before we began this fundraising campaign.) Much of the money was spent on x-rays, which ran up to $400 each time, due to the many views that had to be taken. Now, we still need funds for his post-surgery visits. He will need further x-rays and vet visits. I alone have 4 dogs and 4 cats that I take care of. Liza has several cats in addition to Little Reggie and Oliver, not to mention the strays we feed. We cannot afford his aftercare on top of our regular pet bills. Please continue to spread the word about Little Reggie so we can get more donations. Thank-you!
