The revolving door at La Maison de Pierre has produced yet another mixed bag of registered voters just in time for the 2012 election. According to the most recent voter rolls, there are still eight adults of voting age living at North Miami Beach councilman Frantz Pierre’s house – some old, some new.
While he hasn’t beaten his own record number of nine registered voters in 2011, he has still managed to maintain the number of adult occupants in a single family home in North Miami Beach at an all time high.
As I already noted in Instant Karma’s Gonna Get You, for the purposes of our city’s code a “family” dwelling in a single family home is defined as:
Family: One (1) or more persons occupying a dwelling, not more than three (3) of whom are unrelated to each other by birth, adoption, or marriage, and who are living and cooking as a single household. (Ord. No. 92-9, § 2, 6-16-92)
Judging by the names and birth dates of the adults registered to vote at L’il Frantzie P’s house, there is no way in hell that more than three of these individuals are related to The P Man, who is listed as the sole owner of the property, by birth, adoption or marriage. According to the tax records of Miami-Dade County, his house has three bedrooms and two baths. Must be awfully crowded in there. I’m just saying.
Now, let’s compare the lists from 2011 to 2012. Here is the current crop of voters at Pierre’s house:
Out with the old, in with the new:
1. Still registered from one year to the next are Karry Joseph, Frantz Pierre, Reus Pierre, Jonathan Romelus, Marie Romelus and Katrina Allison.
2. No longer listed are Marie Eleazard, Ange Joseph and Joline Pierre.
3. New additions are Joline Green and Wideline Romelus, who was freshly registered to vote on June 23, 2012.
So let’s see. In one North Miami Beach single family home we have eight adults with five different last names, the youngest being born in 1988 and the oldest in 1961. The occupant named Joline Green has the same birth date and registration number as the former occupant Joline Pierre, which leads this armchair detective to determine that they are one and the same person. However, that only thickens the plot and we now have more questions than answers. Does the fact that Joline changed her last name between 2011 and 2012 mean that she is now married to a Mr. Green? If so, where does Mr. Green live? Or was the name change due to a divorce from a Mr. Pierre? If so, why does she still live with him? Only The Mystery Man of NMB knows for sure!
In any event, whoever all these people are, a couple of things are certain. Frantz Pierre has five minor children, none of whom are registered to vote, which brings the total number of people living in his three bedroom, two bath house up to thirteen. The sleeping arrangements must be awfully interesting, not to mention complicated.
Another thing that’s painfully obvious is that no matter how many strange and unusual relationship combinations I can think up, there is no way that eight adults can possibly translate to “not more than three (3) of whom are unrelated to each other by birth, adoption, or marriage.” You do the math. No way, no how!
In other words, we are back to square one. As I explained in Frantzie’s Choice, “Mr. Pee-Air’s dilemma is that he now has to choose between admitting he’s in violation of the city code, or that some of those folks lied to the Elections Department on their Voter Registration Application about where they lived.”
I am again appealing to the City of North Miami Beach to determine whether or not NORTH MIAMI BEACH ELECTED OFFICIAL Frantz Pierre is violating Ordinance No. 92-9 of the City Code by housing too many people under his roof. Even though I have twice made this query in the past I have received no response. Maybe the third time’s the charm.
If, in fact, it is determined that these eight adults live at La Maison de Pierre, this violation committed by a COUNCILMAN WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER needs to be corrected immediately. Perhaps realtor/councilwoman/Pee-Air’s BFF Phyllis Smith can help with relocating some of them.
If the City of North Miami Beach determines that The P Man is not in violation of the code, and that the individuals who are registered to vote at an address at which they do not live, then the Supervisor of Elections will be receiving my formal complaint of voter fraud.
One way or the other, Elected Official/School Teacher/Officer of the Court Frantz Pierre is violating either a city ordinance or a state law. In my opinion, he has already violated all standards of human decency. A guilty verdict would be icing on the cake!

Pehaps they are not real people but a person who may be 2 or 3 people.
Maybe they are dead. Statistics report nearly 2 million dead people are registered to vote. Looks like Chicago-style voting has come to NMB
I seem to recall that at some point in the past, the city did respond to this inquiry (by sending someone out to read the water meter), which resulted in a whole of lot of headaches for the staff, lies from Mr. Pierre, outright intimidation of employees, and yet another IA investigation with “inconclusive” results. You must realize that, buffoonery aside, any elected official holds tremendous power over all city employees, including, and especially, those who serve at the council’s pleasure, i.e., the most powerful members of the staff. This situation is not unique to NMB, and is clearly the reason elected officials in many other cities get away with such abuses. In effect there is no one to challenge them, except the voters, on election day. I think it would be most expedient to proceed directly to the Supervisor of Elections. BTW, how is Li’l Frantzie P an Officer of the Court? Just curious.
Yes, I did write about Pee-Air’s Water Meter Incident several columns ago. You have a good sense of recall.
When he was sworn in as an elected official, he took an oath to uphold the laws of not only NMB, but the State of Florida and the United States of America. Hence, he is an officer of the court, by default if nothing else. Don’t get too excited. As a Notary Public, I am also an officer of the court. So, it’s not THAT big a deal. The only major difference between my officer-of-the-court standing and The P Man’s is that I DO uphold the law. Then again, upholding the law is easy for someone who isn’t a power mad, crooked, unethical politician. Just saying, of course.
Maybe if Christian Slater moves in his vote could count too?
We’d need a bigger water plant!
Can you imagine what NMB would be like if all single family households had thirteen people living in them?
Since this is the homesteaded property of an elected official and there are odd circumstances that point to possible election fraud, can’t Miami-Dade Elections look into who these people are?
Even if you do not live in the city can’t we all start bombarding the elections board. Just give us an address and I know I will send a letter. BTW I live in Hialeah and you don’t want to start here.
Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez, has put together an Election Advisory Group. Go to http://www.miamidade.gov/mayor/elections-advisory-group.asp for information. The Advisory Group meetings are open to the public and public input is welcome. The next meeting is Friday, December 14, 2012 from 9am to 12pm on the 18th Floor of the Stephen P. Clark Center (Government Center) located at 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128. I plan to attend. Nothing ventrued, nothing gained!
That is awesome! Is there a representative from NorthEast Dade a member of the advisory group?
