Dear Residents, As a member of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust board I am coordinating a sock drive with the city of North Miami Beach and in conjunction with the MDC Homeless Trust and Carrfour Supportive Housing. This community sock drive will benefit residents of Carrfour with socks for the upcoming cooler weather. Homeless Awareness Day is on Thursday, November 15th and we will be collecting socks through then. Various schools and churches are on board in our effort, and I hope we can count on the North Miami Beach community to bring their sock donation to the facilities listed on the attached flyer. You can also drop socks off at Mario the Baker in the Biscayne Commons shopping plaza, The Melting Pot as well as the movie theater in Intracoastal Mall, all via the Career Education Club at ATMSH.
