Bert Kehren and I want to give a huge THANK YOU and a huge SHOUT OUT to the many residents that volunteered yesterday at the Fulford United Methodist Church Christmas Meal. This was such a spirited way to spend the holiday with each other by rejoicing together for what we have, and then turning it around and giving it back to the community. A community that works together, respects each other, celebrates together and enjoys each other, is a community that will thrive together.
Bert was able to raise $ 1,000.00 with him and a group of individuals who showed their true generosity in a difficult economic time for most.
The volunteers that served the food, waited on congregants and the needy and helped clean up were the following:
Ruth Weber
Bert Kehren
Mubarek Kazan
Yona Lunger
Carlos Rivero
Omar Padron
Diane Blank
Rita Antogiovanni
Saundra Douglas
Valerie Jeune
Marilyn Baumoehl
Karen Marrero
Elan Marrero
Quinn Marrero
Allison Robie
Rhonda Glogower
Stella Brookstein
Alan Sokol
Alex Vallejo
Kevin Kramer
Steve Pizzillo
Councilwoman Marlen Martell
Councilwoman Beth Spiegel
Mayor George Vallejo
And the many other volunteers that Ruth Weber brought in from the Church and both inside and outside our community.
As they say in Hebrew…. a “mitzvah” was done by all.
Thanks again and all the best to everyone for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

As a member of the Fulford UMC Board of Trustees, I want to send our sincere appreciation to all who participated in our Community Christmas Dinner. It truly was a mitzvah that warmed the heart of the community.
