The problem with absentee ballot fraud is that we know it’s rampant and yet we can’t seem to do anything about it. The group known as ACORN turned voter fraud into a science and elevated it to an art form for the 2008 election. During this last North Miami Beach election in May, I’d heard lots of rumors of absentee ballots being stolen and sold, yet I couldn’t find even one person who was disenfranchised to come forward and make a complaint. Of course, those who sold their votes to the highest bidder weren’t about to rat on themselves, so nothing could be done about the problem. Apparently in NMB, as well as Miami-Dade County, absentee ballot fraud is business as usual.Until, that is, two bloggers with a website called Eye on Miami (which won Best Blog 2008 – Miami New Times) found a woman by the name of Judith Thompson right here in North Miami Beach who spoke out about her vote being stolen and was determined to do something about it. They recently published a three part series, including video testimony of Ms. Thompson. Please take the time to read all three parts and prepare to be astounded and appalled.
To bloggers, Geniusofdespair and Gimleteye, I salute you for a job well done!
